Double exposures at weddings | Questions I often get asked

My most asked question at my pre wedding meetings at the moment are:

We love the trees/nature exposed over people pictures and can we have some of those in our wedding photos??

The answer is YESSS you can have that.
All it takes is some time some daylight, some sky and some trees. Oh and a little bit of patience and time.

Its called a double exposure and I love to get creative and make a mish mash of images…if I get time! Some weddings are so manically busy and there are so many line ups/ groups that I dont get time. But if the weather is right and the time is right, normally when a second photographer is booked, I will head off and spend some time at your wedding doing this.
I will look completely crazy while focusing on branches, foliage, leaves and textures and aunty Jane or uncle Bob will probably be thinking..why is that photographer taking so many pictures of plants when she is paid to photograph the wedding guests!

I promise you that there is method in my madness!!!

Also I love to try something creative and different in the first dance…Dragging the shutter or a longer exposure can be fun and effective if the lights on the dance floor are just right.
