This was my first christening booking and it was just perfect. There was sticky cream buns, big cream cakes, an olde world pub in the beautiful little Devon village of Hennock and one very photogenic little boy called Rafe – who got a splash of holy water on his head! He was a little shocked by the preceedings, which I not surprised at as he is only one, but he took it all in his stride like a little trooper. ahhh bless! I love his little quizzical looks and the palpable relief on his face when the vicar handed him back to the safety of Dad’s arms.
Its was a real honour to photograph such a memorable family occasion…more christenings please:) I love em!
The family wanted a relaxed reportage style to the day, the same as I would document a wedding. It was FUN FUN FUN to photograph and a lot less stressful that shooting a wedding, I had time to capture all the little details that were happening and the little moments that the children were unaware I was snapping away.
After the service everyone headed over to the Village pub, The Palk Arms for a family lunch which made the children very happy, these little cherubs like their food – there was a run on the cream buns and I was super happy to be there to capture this part.
If your thinking of having a Christening, or any family event, and you would like a quote for me to cover your day, then please get in touch and we can get the ball rolling.
